Wall and ceiling finishing

Under a pitched roof, plasterboard is the most common finish, overlaid with wallpaper-ready or paint-ready plasterwork. Wooden paneling is found in rustic or classic interiors.

Floor finishing

A wooden floor matches the structure well and contributes to a warm appearance. Vinyl and carpet are simpler and more sound-absorbing. Harder floors such as tiles or concrete are only viable in lofts if there is sufficient structural load-bearing capacity.
