Keralit is a brand name for plastic facade cladding widely used on dormers and gables. It consists of PVC strips with a tongue-and-groove joint.

Keralit strips are mounted on a ventilated sub-construction. The strips interlock via a rabbet, creating a flat, seamlessly appearing facade.
The material is available in a fixed palette of RAL colours and some wood imitations. Aesthetic review (welstand) committees sometimes set requirements for colour choice, certainly in visually defining areas.
